Course overview
This CPD UK-accredited programme is for learners who have completed our Intermediate programme. It is aimed at deepening and adapting Motivational Interviewing (MI) practice, as well as supporting MI skills development of others.
The programme covers the following areas:
- Moving through the four tasks of MI
- Deepening practice in complex reflections
- Maintaining the Spirit of MI in the face of discord
- Keeping on track with change
- Offering helpful feedback to develop MI skills in others.
As part of the programme, participants will also complete a 15-minute role play recording which will be evaluated using a standardised Motivational Interviewing tool to measure MI competency. All participants can receive this feedback in a 45-minute coaching session with the lead facilitator.
Format
Fourteen learning hours delivered with one full day delivery, face to face, followed two online sessions.
